We were innocent and helpless, small bundles of love and life. Tiny fragile humans suddenly exposed to noise, light and temperature. We are born completely dependent on those around us for our survival and we have limited resources. We cry , we smile, we eat, we sleep, and we learn. We are in constant discovery of how to adapt to this new environment.
As we learned to navigate the world we were met with conflicting information. Curious and incredibly inteligent, we explored the environment around us. We quickly began to learn what the people who cared for us liked and did not like. We had no real understanding why at this point. As our caregivers, their desires became our key to survival, so we paid attention and tried to adapt to the rules we were given.
We had no thoughts, no beliefs, no preferences and no judgements, because we had No Words. Every thought you think was taught to you by someone. Nothing is new. I have come to understand that there are no original thoughts. Every belief is learned, and passed down from one generation to the next, good and bad. Thoughts and beliefs are given to us and as children. We have no way to discern what is true and what is not.
